A little about myself: Born and raised in Indiana I am from the heartland of America. I came from a broken dis-functional family with little upbringing from the parents. I left home at 16 and never looked back. Of course at 16 I didn't have the means to support myself in a household so I slept in my car in front of my girl friends house. I worked various jobs fast food restaurants and gas stations. At 20 I married my high school sweetheart and now have 2 kids. A 21 yr old daughter and a 17 yr old son. We've been married for 21 years as of last September and still counting. For most of my working career I've been an over the road truck driver. I started becoming political in 6th grade during the Ford, Carter elections. My parents were voting for Carter and I for Ford. Not only because I had seen Ford in Holland Michigan in person but because I was aware of what Carter stood for. Looking back I see that I was correct in my choice. I feel I should have been born in the '40's or '50's since my values and beliefs do not fit into todays America. In todays American culture I would rather be on my way out of this life than to be in the middle of it. To be witnessing 1st hand what Johnson's "great society" is doing to America is my greatest angst. I'm writing this blog to voice my disgust for the "entitlist society". My choice for President in '08 is real simple. I want a President that puts America FIRST!. No more cowtailing to the people who want to destroy the "greatest country in the world" as quoted recently by French President Sarkosy. I'm a truck driver by choice. I love my career I just wished more 4 wheelers would watch what the heck they're doing around "Big Rigs". We can't stop on a dime Ya Know
